The Artists in the Window

The shop-front windows of local stores are invited to become artist’s studios for a day. We inhabit the spaces and set up our easels and canvases to paint subject matter that is inspired perhaps by the location, or the town’s history, or even the products sold in the shop.

Every so often the artists emerge onto the street to engage in argument with each other and the onlookers. The finished works are left with the shop owners for permanent display.
